SUMMARY:Business Meeting & Speaker: Deborah Dickinson "Spring in Full Bloom" An Ikebana Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Business Meeting & Speaker: Deborah Dickinson\n“Spring in Full Bloom” An Ikebana Presentation\n \nPresented by: Programs Committee\nChair: Bonnie Keen \nOverview: Deborah Dickinson\, Jonin Sanyo (Sogetsu teacher\, second grade) will create dynamic ikebana arrangements with a sense of movement and balance while focusing on spring. Many art forms focus on color\, line and space; ikebana does this through branches\, flowers and sometimes uncon-ventional materials. Deborah has studied ikebana for over 16 years with her teacher\, Mrs. Hata and continues to attend classes and workshops to expand her knowledge. She has exhibited at the Philadelphia Flower Show\, Shofuso Japanese House and Gardens in Fairmont Park\, the Delaware Contemporary in Wilmington and People’s Light and Theater in Malvern. She enjoys sharing ikebana through informal demonstrations at the flower show and Cherry Blossom Festival\, where the curious public may experience ikebana for the first time. \nNGC Goals & Objectives: Floral Design \nFor more information about the event Contact Us.
