She is also an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional with NOFA\, the Northeast Organic Farming Association. \nIn her presentation\, Nancy will discuss the best practices for pruning trees and shrubs to promote good health\, structural integrity and beauty. She will share some insights on the effects of pruning from a woody plant’s perspective and how that understanding can help us make better pruning decisions.She will also demonstrate and make recommendations for pruning tools with tips on how to best use and maintain them\, including a sharpening demonstration. \nHorticulture Committee Note: Always one of the first signs of spring\, the Horticulture Committee will be distributing a very early daffodil called “February Gold” to members at the October meeting.
